Applications are being invited by Railway Recruitment Cell, Western Railway (Mumbai) to fill up various vacant posts of Group-D in Division(s) and Workshop(s) of Western Railway. Pay Scale: Rs 5200-20200 + GP 1800/-
Upper Age limit: 33 years for General, 36 years for OBC, 38 years for SC/ST (as on 01-01-2014)
Qualification: 10th (Matriculation) / ITI Pass or equivalent. Candidates having higher educational qualification may also apply.
How to Apply: Candidates must apply only using prescribed application format. It is advisable that applicant should have fill up the application form in his/her own handwriting (in English/Hindi language only) using Black/Blue ball point pen. The Xerox copies of requisite documents should be attached with application form. A list of such enclosures is provided below. The application envelop must be super-scripted with these words: "Application for the Posts in Pay Band I /GP–Rs.1800/- of Western Railway". Applications, duly furnished in all respects should be sent to: Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, Western Railway, Parcel Depot, Alibhai Premji Marg, Grant Road (East), Mumbai-400007.
Documents to be Enclose: The copies of following documents are be submitted along with application form in support of candidature to these Govt. Jobs.
A. Requisite application fee of Rs. 100/-.
B. Two Recent passport size color photograph which is to be pasted on the space provided in application form.
C. Attested copies of all certificates in support of Education, Experience and any other specified qualifications.
D. Attested copies of documents in support of claim for age-relaxation.
E. Candidates, who are already engaged in Govt. Service whether permanent/temporary/work-charged employees, will be required to send their applications through proper channel.
Selection Procedure: The candidates, who will be best suitable to these Indian Railway Vacancies, would be select on the basis of their performance in Written Test followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Examination. If any candidate found involve in illegal activities, such as canvassing the selection committee, false reporting of testimonials etc, his/her candidature will be canceled immediately.
Application Fees: Candidate who wish to apply to this Sarkari Naukri, must have to enclose Application/Examination fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only). The amount of fee can be paid through Indian Postal Order drawn in favor of ‘Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), RRC-WR’ and payable at Mumbai. Applications without Fee will be rejected. Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Ex-servicemen, Persons with Disabilities, Women, Minority communities and Economically Backward Classes are exempted from payment of fee.
Scheme/Syllabus of Written Test: Question paper for the Written Test shall be based on Matriculation standard, consisting of 100 multiple-choice objective type questions. Question paper shall be aimed to assess general knowledge/awareness, mathematics, general science and reasoning etc of the applicant. The duration of Written Test shall be of 90 minutes. Question paper shall be printed in Hindi, English, Urdu, Marathi and Gujarati only. There will be a provision of Negative marking also for wrong answers. 1/3 rd Mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Based on performance in the Written Examination, eligible candidates equal to three times the number of vacancies will be called for PET. Passing the Physical Efficiency Test is mandatory. To qualify PET, Male Candidates should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds. Female Candidates should be able to run for a distance of 400 meters in 3 minutes and 10 seconds.
