Planning Commission proposes to recruitment to one post of Adviser (Science& Technology) by any of the three methods, namely, Promotion OR Deputation (including short-term contract) OR Direct Recruitment. Name of the Post: Adviser (Science& Technology)
Pay Scale: Rs 37400-67000 + GP 10000/-
Age limit: 56 years
Qualification: Master Degree in Science or a Degree in Engineering or Technology with 17 years experience (for Ph.D. Holders) or 20 years experience (for M. Phil. Or Master Degree Holders). Well knowledge of latest trends of development in Science and Technology.

Job Profile:

(i) To advise the commission on policies and programmes related to Science & Technology.
(ii) To advise the commission on matters relating to preparation/formulation of Five-year and Annual Plans of Science & Technology Departments/Agencies.
(iii) Examination and appraisal of Science & Technology proposals of various Science & Technology Departments/Agencies.
(iv) To supervise the monitoring and evaluation of Science & Technology plans and programmes.
