Department of Science & Technology (Ministry of Science & Technology) invites applications for filling up 3 posts of Scientific Attache, Gp. ‘A’ Gazetted one each in the Indian Missions abroad at Moscow, Tokyo and Berlin by transfer on deputation (including short-term contract) basis. Name of the Post: Scientific Attache [3 posts]
Pay Scale: Rs 37400-67000 + GP 8900/-
Age limit: 56 years
Qualification: Candidate should be Scientists or Technologists working in Indian Govt. Service and Master degree in Science or Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Following up the implementation of joint programmes of cooperation.
2. Suggesting possible new areas for bilateral cooperation.
3. Acquiring information about the latest developments in Science & Technology in the specific sectors of interest to India.
4. Attending to official work delegated by the various scientific agencies in India.
5. Keeping the Government of India briefed about the new policy decisions to Science & Technology in the countries of accreditation.
6. Preparing a roster of scientists working/settled in the countries of accreditation and maintaining contacts with them.

Candidates must apply through proper channel, enclosing photocopies of all educational/experience certificates and attested copies of educational/experience certificates and Completed & up to date attested photocopies of ACRs/APARs of the officers for the last 5 years must be enclose with application.
