Junior Assistant (Vidyut Sahayak)

Number of vacant posts: 55 Nos. (Breakup- UR-30, SEBC-17, SC-01, ST-05 & P/H-02)
Qualification: Bachelor degree viz. B.A./B.Com/B.Sc/B.B.A/B.C.A with 55% marks or higher (50% marks for reserved categories) is essential educational qualification. Candidates must have knowledge of Computers, English and Gujarati language.
Age Limit (as on 02/09/2013): To be eligible for this Sarkari Naukri, candidates must have completed the minimum age of 18 years. Upper age limit would be 25 years for General category and 30 for reserved category. 10 years relaxation in upper age limit would be admissible there for Physically Handicapped candidates & Ex Armed Force Personnel. 5 years extended age for female Candidates in respective caste.
Salary: Junior Assistant (Vidyut Sahayak) shall be appointed in the pay scale of Rs.9700 - 21710 subject to completion of 3 year lock in period satisfactorily. Fixed remuneration will be given during the lock-in period i.e. Rs 6500/- per month for 1st year, Rs 7250/- per month for 2nd year and Rs 8000/- per month for 3rd year.

Reservation

Reservation in seat quota and relaxation in age limits for various category candidates will be maintained as per prevailing rules and regulation of UGVCL. Caste (Roster category) certificate of Gujarat State only will be considered in case of SC/ST candidates.

Health Status

Candidates should have sound health to be appointed/shortlisted/selected. Candidates with myopia and hypermetropia exceeding +/- 4.00D need not to apply under any category. Candidates with Squint and color blindness (whether partial or full) need not to apply. Such cases will be rejected summarily.

Selection Procedure

Every applicant would be undergo through tests/examinations viz. Written Test/Oral/Interview. UGVCL reserves the right to short list, select or rejects any candidates for aforesaid tests as the case may be for selection/appointment. Candidates, who cross the written test barrier successfully, will be called for Interviews. Prepare yourself for the interview, as the syllabus of the competitive exam is available hereunder. No any traveling allowance will be paid to any candidates for attending the written examination. Canvassing in any form shall debar the candidate from selection.

Syllabus

There will be 5 sections in written test (with the questions having multiple choices for answers). Almost every section will have approximate equal weight age. The question paper will be set in English language only. The negative marking should be affected.(0.25% negative marking will be there for every wrong answer). Section-wise breakup of marks out of 100% is as follows:
1. Section I: General Knowledge - 20% marks
2. Section II: English Language - 20% marks
3. Section III: Maths & General Science - 20% marks
4. Section IV: Analytical & Logical Reasoning - 20% marks
5. Section V: Computer Knowledge - 20% marks

Fee

Unreserved/SEBC Category Candidates have to pay Rs. 500/- and SC/ST Category Candidates have pay Rs. 250/- towards application fee. Requisite application fee is payable in favor of "UGVCL, MEHSANA". Candidates are advised to write down their Name and Confirmation Number on the back side of the Demand Draft. The amount of application fee is nonrefundable under any circumstances. Demand Draft should be obtained from any Nationalized Bank.
