Scheme/Syllabus of Written Test: Question paper for the Written Test shall be based on Matriculation standard, consisting of 100 multiple-choice objective type questions. Question paper shall be aimed to assess general knowledge/awareness, mathematics, general science and reasoning etc of the applicant. The duration of Written Test shall be of 90 minutes. Question paper shall be printed in Hindi, English, Urdu, Marathi and Gujarati only. There will be a provision of Negative marking also for wrong answers. 1/3 rd Mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Based on performance in the Written Examination, eligible candidates equal to three times the number of vacancies will be called for PET. Passing the Physical Efficiency Test is mandatory. To qualify PET, Male Candidates should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds. Female Candidates should be able to run for a distance of 400 meters in 3 minutes and 10 seconds.
